- Obituary of Douglas Walker
Douglas Robert (Doug) Walker, age 57, of Scriba, NY, passed away on February 6, 2018 at home. Doug was born in Glens Falls, NY to Arnold A. and Louisa J. Harrington Walker on February 4, 1961. He went on to high school at Pulaski Academy and Central School and graduated in 1979. He served one year in the United States Air Force. Doug married Melissa Pratt on October 5, 1985. Doug worked retail for 20 years at Ames Department Store in Pulaski and Oswego, manager at Real Deals in Pulaski for three years, Home Depot in Watertown for three years, and custodian at Jefferson Rehabilitation Center for three years. He was a member of Park United Methodist Church for 46 years.
Doug is survived by his wife of 32 years, Melissa, three sons, James (Marshelle) of Tucson, AZ, Brian (Jenna) of New Haven, Kyle of Scriba, seven grandchildren, Isaiah, Alexander, Benjamin, Dalana, Jamie-Louisa, Karsen, and Conner. Also, surviving are two brothers, Bruce (Rose), Sandy Creek, and Tim, Wolcott. He was predeceased by his father, Arnold, mother, Louisa, and step-father, Pratt Balcom.
Funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 10th at the Park United Methodist Church, 2 Hubble Street, Pulaski, with Pastor David Hays officiating. Calling hours will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street Pulaski.
