orothy M. Batok, 73, of Laflin Road, Laflin, died Thursday at Wesley Village, Jenkins Township.
Born in the Miners Mills section of Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Celia (Slovinski) McHugh. She was a 1944 graduate of Coughlin High School. She was a member of Saint Peter and Paul Church, Plains Township, and volunteer worker for the former NPW Hospital, Plains Township.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond F.
Surviving are her son, Dr. Gary R., Bear Creek Township; and brothers, Emanuel McHugh, North Syracuse, N.Y.; and Bernard McHugh, Westerville, Ohio.
The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Saturday from the Mark V. Yanaitis Funeral Home, 55 Stark St., Plains Township, with a funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Peter and Paul Church. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton, Kingston Township. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Memorial donations may be made to American Diabetes Association, Wilkes-Barre.
