      Newspaper Obituary - Friday, September 24, 1993 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Dorothy V. Mowers, Richland Resident, Dies - Dorothy V. Mowers, 71, Richland, Route 48, died Thursday at Harr-Wood Nursing Home, Oswego. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 7385 Park Street, Pulaski, with the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry officiating. Burial will be in Richland Cemetery. Calling hours will be 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Surviving are a i son, Charles R., Richland; four grandchildren; a great-grandson and a sister, Betty Mowers, Sandy Creek. Bom in Albion on April 6, 1922, a daughter of Earl and Myrtle Spencer Sperling, she was a graduate of Parish High School. She married Carl R. Mowers in August 1940. He died Octobers, 1971. Mrs. Mowers was employed with General Electric Corporation, Syracuse, for several V years and wrote the North Richland column for the Pulaski Democrat. She was a member of the Richland Volunteer Fire Department ladies Auxiliary. She had been a resident of Dugway before moving to Richland in 1946.
