    • Newspaper Obituary - May 8 1947 Mexico Independent - Edgar Hoffman of Dugway, died Monday morning University Hospital, Syracuse. Mr Hoffman, who was born Sept 5 1883 in Syracuse had lived at Dugway for 27 years. He was Justice of the Peace Town of Albion nine years and a member of the Dugway . Surviving are his wife Mrs Emma Henderson Hoffman and one daughter Mrs Winifred Carman. Burial in Dugway Cemetery.

      Newspaper Obituary - May 15 1947 Pulaski Democrat - C. E. Hoffman, of Howardville, town of Albion, passed away May 5 at Syracuse Hospital, He had been severely ill for three months. Mr. Hoffman was born on the Erie Canal at Syracuse, but moved to Howardville at the age of five when his father bought a farm there. He was a justice of the peace for nine years in the town of Albion and also served as committeeman for several years besides operating the farm. He was a member of the Parish Grange. He in survived, by his wife Mrs. E. Hoffman, a daughter, Mrs. W. E. Carman and a grandson, Theodore Carman. Funeral services were Thursday, at his Howardville home with burial in the Dugway cemetery.
