Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, January 18, 1951 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Last Rites For Mrs. G. Farrington - Mrs. Carrie B. Carrington, 85, wife of Grant Farrington, prominent dairyman of Pulaski, died at the North Park nursing home, Thursday morning, where she had been a patient nearly a year. Although she had been in poor health for a long time, she had been able to be up at various times and spent Christmas day at her home in North street. Funeral services were held from the Foster funeral home Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. James N. Pauley officiating. Interment was made in the Pulaski cemetery. Bearers included Guy E. Frary, Norman L. Clark, Roy C. Ellis and Hugh F. Whitney. Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Mrs. Florence C. Hutt, Pulaski and Mrs. Earl (Ethel) Dexter of Mexico, and one son, Horace G. Farrington, Pulaski, four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mrs. Farrington was born October 12, 1865 in the Balsey district in the town of Sandy Creek, a daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Albern and Mary Trumbull Balsey. She attended the old Pulaski Academy and married Mr. Farrington December 12, 1888. They went to housekeeping on the Farrington farm on the Centerville road where they continue to live until 1928 when they purchased their present home in North street. In 1948 they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Dexter, in Mexico. She was a member of the Pulaski Methodist church, the Maunder Sunday school class, W.C.T.U. and a member of Pulaski Grange nearly 50 years. She was a regular attendant of church and an active worker in its societies as long as her health permitted.
