Emanuel J. McHugh, 82, of North Syracuse, beloved husband and loving father, passed away Wednesday at Crouse Hospital. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA he worked as a foreman for General Electric, retiring after 35 years.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially at his camp in the Adirondacks. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, and lifetime member of the NRA. Emanuel was a Marine Veteran of WWII serving on the carrier, Intrepid. He is predeceased by his son, Manny McHugh (1987).
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Eugenia McHugh; daughter, Eugenie M. (Richard) Fournier of Camillus.
Services will be held on Friday at 11:30 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 705 North Main St., North Syracuse.
Contributions may be made in Emanuel's name to St. Rose of Lima Church.
