- Obituary for Charles Otto
Charles Otto, 76, of Standing Stone Township, PA passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at his home following declining health. Charles was born in Philadelphia, PA on May 3, 1941. In early years, Charles worked in construction and was later employed by the General Binding Company in Philadelphia for many years.
He loved spending time with his family, and enjoyed traveling, going to casino’s, the outdoors and hunting. Charles will be fondly remembered for his great sense of humor and wit. Surviving are his children, Joanne Kane and husband Joseph of Delran, NJ, Charles Otto and wife Carrie of Delaware, Edward Otto and wife Lela of Delaware, Edward Plitt Sr. and wife Maureen of Rushville, PA, Robert Otto and wife Joan of Philadelphia, PA, 15 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, sister and brother-in-law, Lillian and Butch Parsons of Philadelphia, PA, sisters-in-law, Carla Otto of Philadelphia, PA, Frances Convill of New Jersey, several nieces, nephews and his canine companion Lilly. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Mary Lou Convill Otto on June 4, 2017, brother, Joseph Otto and sister-in-law, Ruth Schada Zietz.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.
at the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home 217 York Ave. Towanda, PA with Rev. Edward Michelini, pastor of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Towanda, officiating.
