      Obituary of Roswell Mowers
      Roswell E. Mowers, age 83 formerly of Altmar died Thursday at his home on North Main Street, Adams. Roswell was born June 09, 1926 in Mexico, the son of Ernest O. and Lida Trew Mowers. He resided in Altmar since 1952, moving to Adams in 2004. He attended Mexico Schools. Roswell married Myrtle Mowers on August 20, 1950, she died November 16, 2002. He was employed as a wire strander at Camden wire for 32 years, retiring in 1988. He was previously employed by Sweet Paper mill in Pulaski, and he also delivered dairy milk in Parish for several years. Roswell was a member of the West Amboy Community Church. He was also an assistant Scout Master of Altmar Troop #57 and a Trustee for the Village of Altmar.

      Surviving: two sons, Peter E. (Catherine) Mowers of Adams, and Charles R. (Denise) Mowers of Oswego, one daughter Carol (Dale) Bristol of Altmar, five grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.

      Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home 52 Park Street Pulaski with a burial in Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County 425 Washington Street Watertown, NY 13601 or the West Amboy Community Church.
