[Note: James Spicer died June 6, 1885 at Hounsfield, Jefferson County, New York and is buried there in Sulphur Springs Cemetery.]
Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, October 26, 1944 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Mrs. Rebecca Ames Dies in Richland - Mrs. Rebecca Spicer Ames, 83, widow of Walter Ames, died at the home of her son, Clarence Spicer, at Richland, Monday morning. She was born in 1861, on Wolf Island, daughter of Louis and Lucretia Bowman McClary, and was a member of the Church of Christ, Richland. Besides her son, Clarence, she is survived by another son, Earl Ames, of Syracuse. The funeral was held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, at the Spicer home and at the Church of Christ at 2 p.m. Burial was in Richland cemetery.
