      Helen Eve McCune, aged 96, resident of Winston, Oregon, formerly of Pulaski passed away December 21. Helen was born February 18, 1918 in Redfield. She graduated from Pulaski Academy Schools in 1936. Helen married Mason B. McCune on September 22, 1956, and he passed away January 22, 1975. Her husband was a Lieutenant Commander in the US Coast Guard for 33 years. She was employed as a waitress for many years at Seeley’s and Draco’s Restaurants.

      Surviving is one daughter, Julie (Donald) Maxwell of Winston, OR; her sister, Shirley Ouderkirk of Redfield, NY; and daughter in-law, Suzanne Ostrander Kochanowski of Rome, NY; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Helen was predeceased by her son, Frank D. Ostrander Jr.

      Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, January 10, at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski with a spring burial in Elllisburg Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, January 9, at the funeral home.
