Florence Mae Forrest, 73, formerly of Watertown, died Feb. 1 at Wichita Falls, Texas, where she was under Hospice care.
Mrs. Forrest worked at the former Mercy Hospital from Sept. 29, 1957, until May 1961 and was appointed executive housekeeper there June 1, 1958. She then became executive housekeeper of the former Carriage House Motor Inn. She later was employed for 13 years at Herb's Discount, Lawton, Okla.
She was an active member of the Parent-Teacher Association and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Born Aug. 23, 1923, at Watertown, she was a daughter of Inice and Nelson Tousant of Mexico.
She married Adelbert A. Horning Jr. in March 1942. The couple moved to Lawton in 1964. Mr. Horning died in 1980. She married Raymond W. Forrest in December 1982. He died in 1986.
Surviving are two daughters, Veneta M. Wood, Roy, Utah, and Mrs. Robert (Linda) Rivers, Wichita Falls; a son, Philip C. Horning, Oklahoma City, Okla.; three sisters, Mrs. David (Dorice) Stewart, Mapleview, Mrs. Bob (Shirley) Schneider, Mexico, and Mrs. Richard (Helen) Ward, Pulaski; five brothers, William, Levi, Paul and John Tousant, all of Pulaski, and George Tousant, Syracuse; 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
A brother, Orvis Tousant, and two great-grandchildren died.
Services were Feb. 3 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel at Wichita Falls. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Lawton.
Arrangements were with Hampton Vaughn Funeral Home, Wichita Falls.
