    • Draper Stewart, son of Eathel and Esther Thurber Stewart, was born near Petersburgh in 1808. He came to Oswego County with his parents about 1812. He was married to Mary Look, daughter of Eleanor Paine and Jeremiah Look. She died at the age of thirty-seven and is buried in the Noyes cemetery. Their children were Delilah who married Lemuel Wilder, Esther who married Henry Wood, Thomas who was united in marriage with Jennie Lighthall, Joel with Mary Waggoner, Sarah who became the wife of Adelbert Brown, Lydia who married Elias Bentley, and Harriet.

      Newspaper Article - August 30, 1928 Sandy Creek News - Draper Stewart, son of Eathel and Esther Thurber Stewart, was born near Petersburgh in 1808. He came to Oswego County with his parents about 1812. He was married to Mary Look, daughter of Eleanor Paine and Jeremiah Look. She died at the age of thirty-seven and is buried in the Noyes cemetery. Their children were Delilah who married Lemuel Wilder, Esther who married Henry Wood, Thomas who was united in marriage with Jennie Lighthall, Joel with Mary Waggoner, Sarah who became the wife of Adelbert Brown, Lydia who married Elias Bentley, and Harriet. On September 6, 1850, Draper Stewart was married at Williamstown to Ann Marpole. They lived in the Whitesboro district until 1864 when they moved to the Meacham district. There were twelve children by this marriage : Mary, Draper, Eathel, Prelova(Freelove), Sophie, Edward, Lemuel, Nellie, and Anna lived to through the efforts in its behalf of Mrs. G. D. Wart.

      Newspaper Article - December 1, 1897 Sandy Creek News - Draper Stewart, who died November 6th would have been 90 years old next April. He was the last of a large family who lived to a good old age. He was born in Petersburg, N.Y. and when but a small boy moved with his parents to Oswego county where he lived until his death. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife and fifteen children all of whom were at his funeral, nine girls and six boys. The boys acted as bearers and bore him to his last restin place. He was a kind neighbor and of good habits. He loved his home and scarcely ever went away. He was never known to stay away more than one or two nights in the past forty years. He was twice married; his first wife Mary Look of Williamstown and his second wife Anna Marpool of Wales. The first six children are by his first wife, Mrs. C. L. Wilder.       Newspaper Obituary - November 11, 1897 Sandy Creek News - Mr. Draper Stewart, father of Conductor D.H. Stewart, died at his home last Saturday after a painful illness at the age of 89 years. Mr. Stewart had many relatives and friends, as was manifested by the large gathering at his funeral. His funeral was at the Church of Christ, Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. S.B. Stephens assisted by Rev. McPherson singing evangelist.
