      Newspaper Obituary - Tuesday Evening, July 3, 1917 Oswego Daily Times - Oswego, New York - It is with sadness we record the sudden death of Warren Donovan. He left his home Saturday morning, June 23, to pick some field strawberries and started to ride home with a neighbor, N. A. Gardiner. As they were crossing the track they were struck by the passenger train and both were instantly killed. It has cast a gloom over the whole community. Little Warren was a beautiful child and loved by all who knew him. He was a favorite with all his playmates. And especially in the school which he attended. The father, mother, two brothers and two sisters mourn the loss of a dear one that will ever be missed. Also an aged grandmother that is bowed down with grief. As she looked so much to him for comfort. He was ever ready in his sweet obliging way to do a favor in any way he could. Although only eight years of age he was ever on the alert to find something to do. There is the little empty chair, the vacant place in the
      home and at the table and a sore place in the hearts of those left in the home. We cannot understand why those things should happen. That lovely bud so young, so fair, called hence to early doom, just came to show how sweet a flower in paradise should bloom. Ere sin could harm, or sorrow shade, Death came with friendly care, this opening bud to Heaven conveyed, and bade it blossom there. Texas, New York, July 3, 1917, Ellen Howe.

      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, July 4, 1917 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - In Memoriam - Little Warren F. Donovan, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Donovan, was born in the town of Richland, Oswego County, December 16, 1908. Who met his death in the shocking Railroad accident, Saturday at 11 o'clock, June 23, 1917. He was a bright lovable little fellow, full of life and a friend to all who knew him. Left surviving besides his parents are an aged grandmother, two brothers and two sisters to mourn the loss of their darling little Warren.
