Stuart E. Egan, 77, of Palm Harbor, Fla.,died Feb. 9 at Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, Fla.
Born in Buffalo, he lived in Syracuse and Detroit before moving to Florida in 1988. He was a graduate of Mount Hermon School, Massachusetts, and received his bachelor's degree in finance from Syracuse University and his law degree from the SU College of Law. He was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. He retired in 1982 as president of Financial Analysis Control Corp., Detroit, and previously was a management consultant with Ernst & Ernst, Detroit. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II, serving as a flight navigator.
His first wife, the former Meredith Hughes, died in 1992.
Survivors: His wife of five years, Florence; a son, Christopher of Vienna, Va.; two daughters, Elise Jefferis of Grove City, Pa., and Meredith Shea of Big Rapids, Mich.; six grandsons.
Services: 2 p.m. Sunday in Palm Harbor United Methodist Church, Palm Harbor. Burial in the summer in Pulaski. American Burial and Cremation Service, Daytona Beach, Fla., has arrangements.
