    • "Butch" Was a truck driver for Yellow Freight. He attended Redfield Schools until the family moved to Rome about 1955. He enlisted in the US Marines February 1958 and was first assigned to the 6th Marine Regiment in Sardina, Italy. He was a Specialist with the Browning Automatic. He later was a Lance Corporal with 2nd Division, Fleet Marine Force at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
      Butch and Sandy met at a dance in Taberg. Following their marriage they settled there and began a family. Butch was very active in community affairs. He served in most all positions at the Fire Department up until his death, including several years as Chief. The family live at 4150 Water St. in Taberg.
