- January 28, 2007 Joshua A. Shampine, 23, of St. Mary's, formerly of Pulaski, died Sunday, January 28, 2007 at Shands Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. Joshua was born February 23, 1983, in Watertown, the son of Jimmie and Tammy Kinney Shampine. He graduated from Pulaski High School in 2001 and resided in Pulaski until entering the U.S. Navy in September 2001. He was an electronic technician, first class, with the United States Navy for five years and was stationed at Naval Submarine Base, Kings Bay, on the USS Wyoming. He was an artist and loved playing the guitar. Survivors: his wife, Brandy Lee Shampine, and a son, Jason Alexander Shampine, both of Conway, SC; his father, Jimmie Shampine of Hinesville, GA; his mother, Tammy Shampine of Parish, NY; a sister, Melissa Shampine of Pulaski; grandparents, Keiko and Charles Shampine of Gouverneur, NY, and Carol and Richard Kinney of Pulaski; a nephew; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services with military honors will take place in the spring at South Richland Cemetery, Fernwood. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski, NY.
