- Verna Isabell Lutes was born the first of two daughters to Albert Smith Lutes and Esther Ann Thomas 5 Apr 1921 in Moncton, Westmorland, New Brunswick, Canada . Just a year later her family moved to Los Angeles to be near her Aunt Isabella Eliza (Thomas) and Uncle Reginald Felce. In 1935 in Los Angeles, Verna was joined by a sister Geraldine Louise Lutes. Verna first married John Englefeldt Stewart 5 July 1942 in Westwood. She and "Johnny" had three children. They divorced in 1967 and Verna later married 3 Mar 1971 Lee E. Dotson in Orange County. Verna is buried with her mother, Esther Ann (Thomas) Lutes.
