- Robert J. “Bob” Hooge, age 95, resident Arizona for the past three years, formerly of Pulaski since 1968, passed away Monday at Yuma Regional Medical Center in Yuma, AZ. He was born August 12, 1922 in Syracuse, the son of Herman and Genevieve Braungart Hooge. He attended Syracuse Schools. Bob married Lena Snyder in March of 1946 and she passed away in 1984. He later married Sonia Keleher and she passed away in 1996. Bob was employed by the Pulaski DPW for nine years, and he also worked for Abe-Cooper in Syracuse. He was a member of the Robert Edwards American Legion Post #358 in Pulaski and the Pulaski VFW Post #7289.
Surviving are two sons, Robert (Donna) Hooge of Mexico and Daniel Hooge of Pulaski, one son in-law, one daughter, David Fisher of Arizona, one daughter in-law, Shirley Hooge of Pulaski, 15 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by one son, Charles Hooge Sr. who passed away in 2006 and one daughter, Sue Fisher who passed away January 2018.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, May 14th, at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski with burial in Pulaski Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral.
