Edward T. Killam, 79, of 56 Salina St., died Monday in Oswego Hospital.
Mr. Killam was a truck driver for 30 years at the former Blount Lumber Co., retiring in 1987.
Born Sept. 16, 1923, in Pulaski, son of Ralph and Florence Fitch Killam, he graduated from Pulaski High School and served in the Army during World War II.
He married Bethyl O. White on Jan. 10, 1942, at Sandy Creek. She died Oct. 7, 1989.
He was a retired member and former chief of the Lacona Fire Department and a charter member and past commander of Cable Trail Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8534 in Lacona.
Surviving are two daughters, Judy Cummings, Pulaski, and Wendy Goodberry, Redfield; two sons, Tim, Lacona, and Bruce, Pulaski; two brothers, Fred, Pulaski, and Jim, Tacoma, Wash.; 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Two brothers, Robert and Ralph, died before him.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek, with the Rev. Brian Snyder, pastor of Boylston Wesleyan Church, officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Wesleyan Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
