    • Online Obituary - Nancy B. Thomas - September 23 1941 - October 13 2021 - Nancy B. Thomas, age 80, passed away Wednesday October 13, 2021 at her home in Pulaski surrounded by her family. Nancy was a life resident of Pulaski, born September 23, 1941, the daughter of Robert and Anna Mae (Parker) Boyd. She graduated from Pulaski Academy Schools in 1959. Nancy was married to John “Jack” Thomas on April 21, 1962. Nancy received a degree in business from the Rochester Business Institute. She was employed by Watertown Daily Times, Holstein-Friesian World but spent most of her career working at the Community Bank retiring in 1999. Nancy was a former NOCA volunteer, served as a Board of Director for Springbrook and volunteered at Park United Methodist Church. Above all Nancy enjoyed the company of her family and friends and was very fond of her time spent with her ‘classmates’. Nancy had a curious and adventurous spirit. She loved to be on the go all the time. She enjoyed gardening and had expansive perennial gardens surrounding her home. Nancy loved to travel. Her first international trip was to Europe aboard the Queen Elizabeth, a graduation gift from her Aunt Mary Parker. Together, Nancy and Jack adventured to 48 of the 50 states, visiting many of the National Parks along the way. They most enjoyed traveling with their RV camper, crossing the width of the US more than once. Their passion for travel took them on River Boat trips down the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers, train trips across the Rockies and up into Alaska, road trips from the tip of Nova Scotia to the waters of the Pacific and they even ventured to the Panama Canal. Nancy was happiest when her home was full of her children and grandchildren. A special thank you to Nancy’s caretakers who brought so much joy, laughter and enrichment to her life. Surviving are her three daughters, Jeanne (Tom) McChesney of Brewerton, Susan (Bruce) Isham of Monkton, VT and Jackie (Bill) O’Hanlon of Canandaigua, four grandchildren, Matthew, Jessica, Daniel, and Allison, a great grandchild Jianna and a special family friend Dana. Nancy was predeceased by her husband John “Jack” Thomas, her brother James Boyd and her sister Roberta Boyd Edick. Funeral services will be held on Sunday October 17th at 12:00 p.m. at the Park United Methodist Church, 2 Hubble Street, Pulaski, with a burial in Pulaski Cemetery following the service. Arrangements by Foster-Hax Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, a gift can be made in Nancy’s memory to the United Friends of Homeless Animals, 432 Centerville Rd., Richland, NY 13144.
