      Merritt A. “Bud” Switzer, 81, of 40 Lake St., Pulaski, NY, died Tuesday at the St. Camillus Health & Rehabilitation Center, Syracuse. He was born in Pulaski, NY on June 27, 1921. He graduated from Manlius High School and attended Syracuse University. He owned and operated Switzer’s Insurance Agency in Pulaski from 1945 to 1997; was employed by Key Bank as a branch manager for 13 years 1968-1981; owned Harbors End Marina in Henderson several years, 1954-1965. Member of Christ the Light Parish and Robert Edwards Post #358 American Legion, Pulaski. Former member of Pulaski Lion’s Club, Pulaski Service Club & Chamber of Commerce; former Boy Scout leader. Served in US Army during WWII 1942-1946. Predeceased by his wife, Anne Murtha Switzer who died 3/22/97.

      Survivors: two daughters, Patricia S. Clark, Pulaski, and Loretta J. Switzer, Apulia Station; seven sons, Douglas W., Seattle, WA; Gregory W., Sodus Point, NY; Vincent J., Syracuse, NY; Philip R., Pulaski, NY; Leslie F., Utica, NY; Frederick J., Virginia Beach, VA; Martin A., Fulton, NY; one sister Edith Marie Cox, Pulaski; 15 grandchildren & 2 great- grandchildren.

      Services: 10:00 AM Saturday, February 15, 2003 at St. John’s the Evangelist Church, Niagara St., Pulaski. Burial: Pulaski Cemetery, Route 11, Pulaski. Calling Hours: 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Friday February 14 at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park St., Pulaski.
