Marjorie F. Pacific, 80, Route 49, Cleveland, formerly of Pulaski, died Thursday afternoon at Oneida Healthcare Center, where she had been a patient since Nov. 28.
Mrs. Pacific was employed by GTE, later known as Contel Telephone Co., starting as a telephone operator and retiring as a customer service representative after 42 years of service.
Born Jan. 25, 1928, in Pulaski, daughter of George and Lena Frye Fravor, she graduated from Pulaski High School.
She married Joseph P. Pacific on Oct. 4, 1948, in Lacona. Mr. Pacific, owner and operator of Pacific Shoe Store, Adams, for many years, died Jan. 16, 1990.
Surviving are a daughter, Kathryn Pacific, Cleveland; a son, James, Cleveland; a daughter-in-law, Gail Pacific, Cleveland; two brothers, Clarence Fravor, Pulaski, and Robert Fravor, Sandy Pond; a sister, Arlene Fravor, Florida; two grandsons, nieces and nephews.
A son, Randall R., died in May 1998.
A spring graveside service will be in Pulaski Cemetery.
There will be no funeral or calling hours. Arrangements are with Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville.
