- RITES SATURDAY FOR JOSEPH P. PACIFIC, PULASKI

A memorial service for Joseph P. Pacific, 63, of 7075 Route 11 South, retired salesman, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville, with the Rev. Dennis Knight, pastor of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, Adams, officiating. The body will be cremated.
Mr. Pacific died at 1:05 p.m. Tuesday in the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown.
There will be no calling hours. Contributions may be made to the Northern Oswego County Ambulance Squad, Pulaski.
Surviving are his wife, Marjorie; two sons, James J., McConnellsville, and Randall R., Pulaski; a daughter, Kathryn J., Grapevine, Texas; his father, Peter Pacific, Pulaski; two grandchildren; two brothers, Edward Pacific, Pulaski, and Richard Pacific, Brewerton; two sisters, Mrs. Floyd (Joanne) Recor, North Syracuse, and Mrs. Edward (Patricia) Peterson, Pulaski, nieces and a nephew.
Born in Oswego on June 15, 1926, a son of Peter and Mary Salesi Pacific, he was a graduate of Pulaski Academy & Central School.
Mr. Pacific served in the Navy from 1944 to 1946. He then returned to Pulaski, where he was associated with his father in the operation of the Pulaski Shoe Repair Shop.
He married Marjorie D. Fravor Oct. 4, 1948, at the Baptist parsonage, Lacona, with the Rev. Selden Ward, then pastor, officiating.
Mr. Pacific owned and operated the Pacific Shoe Store on Main Street in Adams from 1957 until 1971. In 1972, he went to work at the Pulaski Agway Store, where he remained for 10 years.
Mr. Pacific was employed as a car salesman at K-B Motor Co., Adams, a Ford dealership, from 1982 until his retirement in 1987.
He was active in local bowling and golf leagues, and was a member of the South Jefferson Lions Club, Adams, and Pulaski American Legion.
