The funeral for Robert W. Haywood, 43, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at O'Leary Funeral Home with Monsignor Gerald H. Service, pastor of St. Mary's Church, officiating. Burial will be in North Russell Cemetery.
Mr. Haywood, Riverside Drive, died Saturday of a heart attack at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam, where he had been admitted earlier in the day.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Born June 25, 1955, in Syracuse, a son of Earl and Marion Jerome Haywood, he attended Altmar schools.
He married Lura Coffey on April 7, 1984, at the Albion parish, Altmar.
Mr. Haywood was a truck driver for Speedvax, Syracuse, before moving to Canton, where worked in the kitchens of the Best Western Restaurant, the Canton Bakery and the Elegant Frog.
He enjoyed working on small engines, refrigeration and cars.
Surviving besides his wife are six brothers, Gene, Floyd, Dale and Kevin, all of Altmar, Terry, Norfolk, and Darryl, Potsdam; two sisters, Sharon Horning, Pulaski, and Zona Oakes, Altmar; a stepbrother, Gary Haywood, Potsdam; a stepsister, Sally Bump, Parishville, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A brother, Bruce, died in 1977. Two stepbrothers, Larry and Richard Haywood, also died before him.
