- Donald F. Robarge, age 85, of County Rte. 2, Richland, died Tuesday at his home. Born on May 6, 1920 in Lacona, he was the son of Ezra and Olive Gardner Robarge. He lived in Richland for the past 60 years. He graduated from Sandy Creek High School in 1939 and married Phyllis Widrig on September 12, 1941 in Mexico. He served in the US Army from 1943-45 with the 740th Railroad Operating Battalion in Europe and was discharged as a Tech Sergeant. He was employed by Conrail as an Engineer for 42 years retiring in 1982. Don was a member of St. John's the Evangelist Church, Pulaski, Robert Edwards Post #358 American Legion, Pulaski, NESCO Horseshoe Club, Pulaski, United Transportation Brotherhood Union of Syracuse, and the Greenview Golf Club, Central Square. Surviving are his wife, Phyllis of 64 years; two sons, James E. (Kay) Robarge of Auburndale, FL, Donald F. (Susan) Robarge, Jr. of Nashville, TN; one daughter, Sharon A. Robarge, Richland; nine grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sons, John and Richard Robarge; and one daughter, Sheila Robarge. Funeral services will be held Friday 12 p.m. at St. John's the Evangelist Church, Pulaski with Rev. Sean O'Brien officiating. Spring burial will be Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell. Calling hours will be held Friday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park St., Pulaski.
