Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, June 15, 1961 Palladium-Times - Oswego, New York - Pulaski - Emerson Edward Adsit, 49, native of the Town of Richland, died yesterday in Washington, D. C, after a prolonged illness. The funeral will be held in Washington at 9:30 Saturday morning, after which the body will be brought to Pulaski. Friends may call at the Foster Funeral Home Sunday morning and afternoon until 2 when committal service will be held in Pulaski cemetery. Mr. Adsit was born in Richland on October 28, 1911, son of Delbert and Gwendolyn Edward Adsit. He attended Pulaski Academy and later the Albany College of Pharmacy. For the past 20 years he had resided in Washington where he was a watch repairman. Surviving are five sisters, Mrs. James (Reba) Keller, Andover; Mrs. Joseph (Mildred) Rourke, Silver Springs, Maryland; Mrs. Oscar (Evelyn) Fodder, Waterford; Mrs. Earl (Esther) Craig, Rockville, Maryland, and Mrs. Richard (Virginia) Piper, Cottage City, Maryland., and two brothers, Samuel Adsit, Rose and Durwood Adsit, Utica; also several nieces and nephews.
