Dora M. Benway, 73, formerly of Pulaski, passed away Tuesday, December 22nd at Upstate University Hospital where she had been a patient since December 20th.
Dora was born in Syracuse, NY, a daughter of John and Arlene Emmons Walts. She married Frank Benway, Jr. on June 5, 1976. Mr. and Mrs. Benway supported their family by recovering broken items from the streets of Syracuse, repairing them to be able to sell them. Mr. Benway died September 1, 2009.
Surviving are 5 sons, Frank (Jennifer) Benway III, David St. Germaine, William St. Germaine, Arleigh Hager, Arnold Hager; 2 daughters, Velma (Russ) Smith and Johnna Noreaut. Also surviving are several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband Dora is predeceased by her brother Douglas Walts.
A graveside service will be held at Pulaski Cemetery in the spring.
