Newspaper Obituary - Monday, August 2, 2004 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Florence A. Benway Worked at General Electric - Florence A. Benway, 86, Altmar, died Saturday at her home. Mrs. Benway resided for 48 years in Syracuse, where she was employed at General Electric Company for 34 years, retiring in 1987. She was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses, Central Square, and had lived in Altmar since retiring. Born February 26, 1918, in the town of Florence, daughter of Glen and Floy Eva Daniels Granger, she attended Pulaski schools. She married Al Benway, who died in 1970. Surviving are a brother, Allen Granger, Erieville, and several nieces and nephews. Several siblings died before her, including a sister, Joyce L Granger, who died July 12. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski. Burial will be in Richland Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 9:30 to 11 am. Wednesday at the funeral home.
