- WILLIAMSTOWN - Mrs. Catherine K. Mowers, 124 East Park street, Rome, died Friday in a Rome hospital after an illness of two weeks. She was the widow of Henry F. Mowers, who died eight years ago.
Mrs. Mowers was born in Williamstown on June 29, 1881, a daughter of Francis and Sophronia Benway. She was married to Mrs. Mowers in Williamstown 48 years ago, and has lived here for the last 20 years. She attended Everybody's Tabernacle.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Fred Meier, Williamstown, Mrs. William Wallace, Mexico, and Mrs. James Ramsdale, Rome; two sisters, Mrs. Bert Brazie, Williamstown, and Mrs. Ray Looker, Sherburne, and two brothers, Alfred Benway, Pulaski and Arthur Benway California. She is also survived by nine grandchildren.
A prayer service will be held in the funeral home of Griffin & Aldridge at Rome Monday at 1 p. m. and funeral services will be held in Everybody's Tabernacle, Rome at 2:30 p. m. Interment will be in the cemetery at Williamstown.
