Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, January 27, 1966 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Florence Harte Rites Today - Last rites for Mrs. Florence A. Harte, 85, a second grade teacher in the Pulaski school for 34 years, will be held today (Thursday) at 10 a.m. at the Foster Funeral Home. The Rev. Frank A. Halse, Jr., of Park Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery in the spring. Mrs. Harte died Monday afternoon at the Mouck Nursing Home following several months’ illness. Her only survivors are two grandchildren, Mrs. Marjorie DeYulia of California and Howard Brown of Davenport, Iowa; six great-grandchildren, and a cousin, Mrs. Frank (Ethel) Turner of Pulaski. Mrs. Harte was born in Pulaski on March 29, 1880 the daughter of William and Rosetta Dawley Andrews. She was graduated from Pulaski High School and Pulaski Teachers Training Class and started teaching in the second grade in Pulaski Academy in 1911. She retired June 30, 1945. She was a member of Park Methodist Church, the Pulaski Rebekah Lodge and of J. B. Butler Post, 127, W. R. C., Civic Club and the New York State Teachers Retirement Association.
