- KASOAG, July 25-Frank Benway died at his home near this village at two o'clock today, aged about seventy years. He was a veteran of the Civil War. He leave a widow and eight children; Edward, whereabouts unknown, Fred F., Fulton; Mrs. Ed. Anson, Rome; Mrs. F. Mowers, Altmar; Alfred, Arthur, Cora and Clara Benway, Kasoag.

Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, August 2, 1905 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Altmar - Frank Benway, aged sixty-eight years, died at his home, near this village, Tuesday, at 2:30 in the afternoon, the immediate cause of his death being heart disease from which he had suffered for many years, bearing his suffering with Christian fortitude, characteristic of his entire life. Besides his widow, he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Edward Anson, of Rome, Mrs. Frank Mowers, of this village, and the Misses Cora and Clara, at his late home, also three sons, Frederick, of Fulton, Alfred and Arthur, of Kasoag, to whom the sympathy of all was extended in their bereavement. Among those from out of town who attended the funeral, which was held from the home Thursday, where Mr. and Mrs. Fred Loomis, of Utica.
