    • Newspaper Obituary - July 22, 1948 Sandy Creek News - Church Services Held For Mrs. Stewart, 64 - Following an illness of over a year, Mrs. Harriet E. Stewart, widow of Herman Stewart, died July 14, 1948. She was born in Ontario, Canada, Jan. 28, 1873, daughter of Edson J. and Melissa Philbrick Deremo. She came as a child with her parents to the Sage District in Sandy Creek where she attended school. Following her marriage to Mr. Stewart, Dec. 9, 1893, she made her home in Pulaski. She was a member of the Congregational church. Surviving are two sons, Rexford J. Stewart, Pulaski, and Wayne Stewart, Beaver Falls; one brother, Arthur Deremo, Miami, Fla.; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services were held from the Taylor funeral home at 2 p.m. Friday by the Rev. Daniel W. Fowler and burial was in Pulaski cemetery.
