- Obituary of John Souva
John M. Souva Sr. of Camden, NY passed away May 12, 2018. John was born to the late Gordon and Ruth Souva on August 6, 1937 in Clayton NY. He was a devoted family man, who loved his wife and family. He also loved playing cards, all variety of dogs, hunting, fishing, trapping, camping and smoking his corn cob pipes.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Millie Souva; sons, John M. Jr & Ellen Souva, Scott D. & Sherry Souva, Brian L. & Michelle Souva; grandsons, John M. III (Jordhann) Souva, Matthew Souva, Jacob Souva & Lucas Souva; granddaughters, Kelly Souva (Justin) Parker & Kristen Souva; great-grandson, Samuel Parker; sisters, Marilyn (Bud) Creighton, Sandra Souva; brothers, Stanley (Elaine) Souva, Jim Souva; one brother-in-law, Dick (Connie) Jennings; one sister-in-law, Ann (Frank) Blunt and many nieces and nephews.
No calling hours. A Memorial Mass for John will be held Friday May 25th, 10AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 22 Church St., Camden. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers kindly consider donations to Hospice and Palliative Care, 4277 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, NY or St. John the Evangelist Church.
