      Philip R. Switzer, age 70, life resident of Pulaski, passed away Saturday at Oswego Hospital. Philip was born April 27, 1953, in Oswego, the son of Meritt and Anne Murtha Switzer. He graduated from Pulaski High School in 1971 and attended Cayuga Community College. Philip was self-employed as a carpenter and handyman, restoring and remodeling buildings in Northern Oswego County. He had also been employed as maintenance manager of Best Western Airport. He was also a bricklayer for Searstone, helping build the yellow brick road in Chittenango.

      Philip was a former member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was a member of the Selkirk Yacht Club and enjoyed sailing and sunsets on Lake Ontario. He enjoyed playing golf in many leagues at the Elms Golf Club. Philip was an avid Buffalo Bills and SU fan and enjoyed laughing with family and friends.

      Surviving are his siblings, Douglas (Annette) Switzer of California, Gregory (Mary Sue) Switzer of Sodus Point, Patricia (Herbert) Clark of Pulaski, Vincent Switzer of Syracuse, Loretta Switzer of Apulia, Frederick Switzer of North Carolina, Martin Switzer of Renshaw Bay, and Leslie Switzer of Kenmore, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

      A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski.
