- PULASKI NATIVE ELIZABETH SCHAROUN, 67, DIES

Elizabeth Scharoun, 67, of 1 Town Garden Drive, Liverpool, formely of Pulaski, died Friday morning at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home with the Rev. Elizabeth F. Mowry, pastor of Park United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
Contributions may be made to the Friends of the Retarded, in care of Syracuse Developmental Center, 800 S. Wilbur Ave., Syracuse, N.Y. 13204.
Surviving are six daughters, Merrillyn E. Shanebrook, Green River, Wy.; Linda K. Devine, Pompey; Marcia J. Hummell, Camillus; Kay M. Scharoun, Camillus; Dr. Susan L. Sharoun, Syracuse; and Kris R. Scharoun, Liverpool; two sons, Rupert M. Scharoun Jr., Valatie, and Jeremy C.G. Scharoun, Kitchener, Ont.; 19 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Lillian F. Wheeler, Parkersburg, W. Va.; four brothers, Charles Hillicker, Lake Oswego, Ore; and Monty, Stanley and Arthur Hillicker, Pulaski; and several nieces and nephews.
She was born Aug. 1, 1922 in Pulaski, a daughter of Frank and Florence Grant Hillicker, and was graduated from Pulaski Academy High School in 1939.
She married Rupert M. Scharoun in 1940. He died Oct. 2, 1971. She was employed 15 years with Crouse-Hinds Manufacturing Co.
She was a member of the Onondaga County Association for Retarded Citizens.

Elizabeth Scharoun, 67, of 1 Town Garden Drive died Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital.
A native of Pulaski, Mrs. Scharoun lived in Liverpool since 1940. She was employed many years with Crouse-Hinds Co. Mrs. Scharoun was a 1939 graduate of Pulaski Academy and Central School. Her husband, Rupert M., died in 1971.
Mrs. Scharoun was a member of the Onondaga County Association for Retarded Citizens.
Surviving are two sons, Rupert M. Jr. of Valatie and Jeremy C. of Kitchner, Ontario; six daughters, Marcia J. Hummell and Kay M. Scharoun, both of Camillus, Merrillyn E. Shanebrook of Green River, Wyo., Linda K. Devine of Pompey, Susan L. Scharoun of Syracuse and Kris R. Scharoun of Liverpool; a sister, Lillian F. Wheeler of Parkersburg, W.Va.; four brothers, Charles of Lake Oswego, Ore., and Monty, Stanley and Arthur Hilliker, all of Pulaski; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.
