- December 18, 2007 June M. Ouderkirk, age 74 of County Rte. 17, North Redfield, loving wife, mother and grandmother, died Tuesday at her home. Born on September 15, 1933 in Watertown, she was the daughter of Sterling and Marjorie Bennett Yerdon. She was a life resident of Redfield and graduated from Sandy Creek High School in 1951. She married Gordon P. Ouderkirk on January 17, 1953. June served as Tax Collector for 26 years for the Town of Redfield, and was a member of the Greenboro 3 G's. Survived by loving family: her husband, Gordon P. Ouderkirk; one son, Chris G. (Laura) Ouderkirk of Redfield; one daughter, Cathie K. (Glenn) Adams of West Monroe; five sisters, Margaret "Joyce" LaCelle of Redfield, Nancy (Eben) Forbes, Ella Mae (Richard) Maitland both of Richland, Sylvia "Sookie" (Francis) Adams, Darlene (James) Gorman, both of Redfield; two brothers, Sterling "Bruce" (Bertie) Yerdon of New Jersey, Larry (Cheryl) Yerdon of Sandy Pond; four grandchildren, Christa, Travis, Katie, Taylor Ouderkirk, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; and one brother, Ernest James Yerdon. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski with a spring burial at Greenboro Cemetery, North Redfield. Calling hours will be held Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Donations can be made to Redfield Fire Dept. & Auxiliary, Co. Rt. 17, Redfield, NY 13437.

June attended Redfield School and went on to graduate from Sandy Creek in 1951. She served as Tax Collector for Redfield for 26 years. She was a member of the Greenboro "3 G's" group.
