- Newspaper Obituary - March 1, 1928 Sandy Ceek News - Sandy Creek, New York - Mrs. Charles Kiblin died at her home in West Sandy Creek after a long illness, Tuesday morning, February 28, 1928. Flora Zufelt Kiblin was born in the town of Ellisburg, March 30, 1852, her parents being George Zufelt and Angeline Sanford. She was married to Charles Kiblin, June 1870, and together they have since resided on the Kiblin homestead in West Sandy Creek. No children were born to this union. Mrs. Kiblin was one of nine children, and all the others of whom are still living. They are: Mrs Arabelle Cronk and Bert Zufelt, of Ellisburg; Herman Stewart, Pulaski; Mrs. G. C. Widrig, and Ben Zufelt, Sandy Creek; Jay Zufelt, Tonawanda, and Melvin and Nora Zufelt who live in the west. The loss of Mrs. Kiblin will be keenly felt in the neighborhood where she has spent so many useful years. The sympathy of her many friends is extended to the husband and the large circle of brothers and sisters. The funeral was held from the home today at noon and the body placed in the vault in Woodlawn Cemetery.
