Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, March 12, 1959 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Mrs. Charles Pratt Rites Are Held - Mrs. Mate Tryon Pratt, 83, widow of Charles Pratt, died Sunday morning at the Evergreen Nursing Home where she had been a patient several weeks. Services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Taylor Funeral Home with the Rev. Edward Vander Hey officiating. Interment was in Pulaski Cemetery. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Herbert (Sylvia) Kinney and two sons, Wayne Pratt and Leigh Pratt, all of Pulaski; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Pratt was born November 7, 1875 in the Town of Sandy Creek, the daughter of Charles and Anne Eliza Hilliker Tryon. She was married to Mr. Pratt November 1, 1893. His death occurred February 2, 1949. Following their marriage they operated the farm on the Pratt homestead in the Balsley District until 1930 when they moved into Pulaski where they purchased a home on Bridge Street. Mrs. Pratt was an attendant of the Baptist Church and a former member of Pulaski Grange and Rising Sun Rebekah Lodge.
