- Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, January 16, 1929 Fulton Patriot - Fulton, New York - Mrs. Lillian Chatterton - Wednesday evening, about 11 o'clock, Mrs. Lillian Chatterton, 45, of Emery Road, Volney, was stricken with heart trouble and died before the arrival of the family physician. Mrs. Chatterton was born in New York city and removed to Volney several years ago, where she was well known by a large circle of friends. She was an active worker in the Free Methodist church. Mrs. Chatterton is survived by her husband, Frank Chatterton; four sons, Carl, Francis, Wilbur and Warren; five daughters, Clarabelle, Ruth, Dorothy, Mabel and Phylis, all of Volney and three sisters, Mrs. Christine Franklin, Honesville, Pa.; Mrs. May Barnes, Wilkesbarre, Pa.; and Mrs. Mabel Corners, Union City, and her mother, Mrs. Walter Peterson, Honesville, Pa. The remains were taken to Springer's undertaking rooms and prepared for burial. Funeral services were held at the Free Methodist church Sunday afternoon at 2:30; interment in Mt. Adnah.
