      Obituary
      Howard N. “Zip” Rogers passed away Wednesday, November 9th at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown. He was 83 years old.

      Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 12th at the Carpenter Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville. Calling hours will be held prior to the service beginning at 12 noon - 2:00 pm. Burial in Woodside Cemetery will follow the service.

      Born on October 19, 1939, the son to the late Myron and Dorothy Willcox Rogers. Howard worked as a heavy equipment operator for several years, retiring from Jack Allen’s Sanitation Company.

      Howard married Mary Stevens at the Fernwood Church in 1968. Together they lived most of their married life in Mannsville, NY.

      Surviving is his wife, Mary, Mannsville; daughter, Tammy Harris, Mannsville; 3 grandchildren, Autumn (Jonathan) Stoller, Watertown; Kelsey Harris, Clayton; Jordan Harris, Mannsville; brother, James (Cyndie) Rogers, 2 sisters, Arlene Patterson, and Alice (Eddie) Riley and several nieces and nephews.

      Besides his parents he was predeceased by 2 brothers, Edward and Myron, Jr., 5 sisters, Phyllis Curtis, Georgia Rogers, Frances Archabee, Virginia Thompson, and Cecil Rogers.

      Howard enjoyed being in the great outdoors, riding his 4-wheeler, fishing, and hunting.
