    • William G. Doyle was born and raised in Oswego. He attended St. John's Grammer school and later Oswego City Schools. Following his graduation Bill worked at various jobs in the area until he was accepted into the New York State Police in 1960. He was recently married, and serving in the NYS Police when he was shot in the line of duty on December 14, 1967 on the White Rd. in Parish. He died instantly, and was buried with full State Police honors following a large funeral at St. John's in Oswego.
