- Newspaper Obituary - December 15, 2008 Erie Times News - Christine S. Sprake - Christine S. Sprake Christine S. Sprake, age 52, of Waterford, died Saturday, December 13, 2008 at her residence. Born in Erie on October 19, 1956 Christine was a daughter of the late Robert and June Hughson Sprake. Christine was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School, Class of 1974 and of Edinboro University. She had worked in management her entire life and enjoyed, walking, reading, flower gardening and sewing. She was very talented and loved to support her sons, her grandchildren and nephews and nieces sporting events. Survivors include her children, Heather Magoon, of Waterford, Buckley Magoon, Kyle and Corey Goss, all of Edinboro; three grandchildren, Brianna and Robert Davis and Madison Goss; her brothers and sister, Dennis Sprake and his wife Fran, Richard Sprake and his wife Deborah, all of Erie and Diane Cornelius and her husband Dennis, of Waterford. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home 602 West 10th Street on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 until the time of services at 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Burton Funeral Home 602 West 10th Street Erie, PA 16502.
