      Newspaper Obituary - Monday, November 13, 1967 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Paul E. Carl Dead at 71 - Pulaski - Paul E. Carl, 71, Pulaski, RD 4, died early Sunday morning in the House of the Good Samaritan in Watertown, where he has been a patient one month. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Foster funeral home with Rev. Lewellyn Jones, pastor of the Fernwood Baptist church, and Rev. Wallace Taylor, pastor of the Wesleyan Methodist church, officiating. Burial will be in South Richland cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Masonic services will be held at the funeral home at 8 tonight. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cora Sherman Carl; a son, Bruce, Pulaski; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mr. Carl was born June 14, 1896 in Warners, a son of R. James and Minerva Caldwell Carl. He attended Mexico schools and served in World War I. On August 16, 1921 he married Cora Sherman in Pulaski. He was a dairy services inspector for the Dairyman's league and was stationed at the Fernwood plant and also at Central Square. After his retirement in 1957 he ran a sports shop in his own home. He was a member of the Fernwood Baptist church and Pulaski lodge 415, F. & A.M. He was also a member of the Butterfly Gun club, Mexico, the Albion Rod and Gun club, the Mad River Gun club, and the National Rifle association, Washington, D. C.
