      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, September 23, 1993 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Donald D. Carl, Pulaski, Dies At Age of 76 - Donald D. Carl, 76, Deerfield Apartments, died Wednesday in Oswego Hospital. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Pulaski Congregational Church, with the Rev. James Tschudy officiating. Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery, Fernwood. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 7385 Park St. Contributions may be made to the Pulaski Congregational Church or Northern Oswego County Ambulance. Surviving are his wife, Ina M.; a son, William L., Liverpool; a daughter, Carole M. Golus, Westfield; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Edward, Mason, Tennessee, and Roy, Watsonville, California, and a sister, Patricia Davis, Pulaski. Born in Schenectady on September 9, 1917, a son of Howard E. and Mary Bowen Carl, he attended Pulaski Academy and Adams schools. He married Ina M. Farley on November 21, 1936, at the Methodist Episcopal parsonage, Fulton, with the Rev. John W. Warren officiating. Mr. Carl served with the Navy during World War II from 1941 to 1945. He served with the Civilian Conservation Corps and recently wrote a book on the history of the CCC camps due to be published by Falconer Publishing Co., Falconer. He was employed with General Electric Corp., Salina, for 16 years with the Pulaski Democrat as a printer, with Taylor Monument Co. as an engraver and with Deerfield Apartments as superintendent for several years. He was a member and deacon of the Pulaski Congregational Church and a member of Lakewood Post 1286, American Legion. He had been a resident of Pulaski for 65 years.
