- Charles D. LaBella, 60, of Troy, Ohio passed away on Monday, September 3, 2007 at his residence. He was born in Rochester, New York on October 4, 1946 to the late William and Lois (Spriggs/Sprake) Eckhoff. Charles is survived by his wife, Tina (Kinder) LaBella; 3 sons and daughter-in-law, David LaBella of Mahoning, Pennsylvania, Jason and Evie LaBella of Loma Linda, California, Michael LaBella of Palm Bay, Florida; 3 daughters and son-in-law, Tina Montez of Allentown, Pennsylvania, Laurie and Dale of Allentown, Pennsylvania, Lois LaBella of Troy; 16 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; sister and brother-in-law, Karen and John Higgins of Wildwood, Florida; 2 brothers and sister-in-law, Maurice and Barbara LaBella of Rainbow Lake, Florida, William Eckhoff of Pennsylvania. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his son, Ted LaBella. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy and served his country during the Vietnam War. Charles was a former member of the Loyal Order of the Moose and the American Legion Post #43, Troy. Charles retired as a maintenance man from the Park Regency Apartments in Troy. There will be a private service at the convenience of the family. There will be no public visitation. Arrangements are in charge of Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home.
