    • Newspaper Obituary - January 25, 1983 Wilkes-Barre Times Leader - Thaddeus Jescavage - Thaddeus L. Jescavage, of Apartment 7A, Princeton Court, Wilkeswood, Wilkes-Barre, died at Veterans Administration Hospital, Plains Township. He was born in Wilkes-Barre and lived there his entire life. He was the son of the late Andrew and Mary Slavinski Jescavage. He was a graduate of Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the V.F.W. Kingston. He was a retired employee of the U.S. Post Office and a volunteer at the V.A. Hospital for the past 10 years. He was married to the former Helen K. Bennett of Kingston. He is survived by daughters, Mrs. Karen Bernard of Long Island, N.Y.; daughter, Paula of New York; Janet, of Bronx, N.Y., son James of Harveys Lake; sisters, Mrs. Johanna Welgus, Mrs. George Riley and Mrs. Irene Martin, all of Wilkes-Barre; brothers, Frank of Newport Township; Daniel of Hilldale; nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 105 N. Main St., Asley, with the Rev. Jule Ayres officiating. Interment will be at the Hollenback Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre. Friends may call today from 7 to 9 p.m.
