      Newspaper Obituary -Thursday, August 1, 1968 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - A Life-Long Resident Dies After Long Illness - Mrs. Laura E. Babcock of 7666 North Street died Friday, July 26 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Watertown, where she had been a patient for the past six weeks. She was 83 years old at the time of her death. Mrs. Babcock was born December 1, 1884 Port Ontario, the daughter of Andrew and Jane Vorce Wilson. She attended the Port Ontario district school, and was married to Robert C. Babcock in the first and only marriage at the Bethel Church there. Mr. Babcock died in 1945. She was a member of the Pulaski Baptist Church and its societies and spent her entire life in the Pulaski area, assisting her son in the florist business for the past 25 years. She is survived by her son, Elmer Babcock. Funeral services were held Monday, July 29 at the North Street home, with the Rev. Edward Van der Hey, of First Baptist Church, Syracuse officiating. Burial in Pulaski Cemetery.
