Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, February 28, 1952 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Rites Saturday For Mrs. C. Babcock - Mrs. Julia E. Babcock, 76, widow of Charles Babcock, died Tuesday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Floyd Harmon, 106 Merriman avenue, Syracuse, following an illness of two weeks. She had been in failing health the past two months. Funeral services will be held from the Harmon home in Syracuse Saturday at 9:30 a.m. and from St. Lucy's church at 10 a.m. Interment will be made in the Pulaski cemetery. Surviving are seven sons, William of Pulaski, Andrew, Alex, Clarence, Elmer, Roy and Lyle of Syracuse; three daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Mattie) Harmon and Mrs. Kenneth (Bernice) Dodge, both of Syracuse and Mrs. Edward (Frances) Holden of Fulton; 12 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. C. W. Durgee of Pulaski. Mrs. Babcock was born at Jayville, New York, September 28, 1875, the daughter of Henry and Miranda Lago Bovay. Most of her life had been spent in the vicinity of Redfield and Richland. After the death of Mr. Babcock, February 20, 1947, she went to Syracuse to make her home with her daughter where she had lived since. She was married to Mr. Babcock in 1897.
