    • "The Tomahawk," Wednesday, December 23, 1970 DEATHS «tab»Mrs. Lottie[sic] Ossie Garland, 73, of Rt. 6, Johnson City, died at her residence Thursday afternoon, from an apparent heart attack. She was a native of Johnson County, but had made her home in Carter County for the past 13 years. She was a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Robinson Arnold. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis C. Garland, who died May 31, 1969. She was a member of the Sinking Creek Baptist Church. «tab»Survivors include one son, Farris Garland, Rt. 6, Johnson City; five daughters, Mrs. Faye DeLoach, Hazel Park, Mich., Mrs. Gertrude Kloth, El Cajon, Calif., Mrs. Effie Mae Lusk, San Diego, Calif., Mrs. Effie Mae Lusk, San Diego, Calif.[name repeated], Mrs. Betty Weatherman, Tucson, Ariz., and Mrs. Ruby Garland, Johnson City; one brother, Eddie Arnold, Butler; one sister, Mrs. Elva Stout, Johnson City; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. «tab»Funeral services were conducted Sunday, 2 p.m., from the Sinking Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Reece Harris officiating.
