- Newspaper Obituary - April 7, 1969 Wilke-Barre Times Leader Evening News - William T. Mattick, Former Foreman, Dies - William T. Mattick, 249 Taft Street, Lee Park, Hanover Township, died last night at 7:45 at Wymoning Valley Hospital. He had been a patient a week. A former resident of Miners Mills section, he belonged to Holy Rosary Church, Ashley and was a retired foreman of D&H Coal Company and Pagnotti Coal Company. Surviving are his widow, the former Stella Myzick, whome he married after his first wife, the former Genevieve Kennedy, died in 1951. Also surviving are children, Mrs. W. Corcoran, Plains; Mrs. Luke E. Sheridan, Mrs. Vincent McGilloway, Mrs. Joseph Dohman and Mrs. James Gavin, Wilkes-Barre; Mrs. Thomas Egan, Forest Park, Bear Creek; stepdaughter, Mrs. Edward A. Pietroski, Hanover Township; brother, John Mattick, Kingston; sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Binker, Hudson, Plains Township; 31 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, Step son, Leo J. Myzick, College Park, Md., died in 1968. Funeral will be Wednesday from the funeral home, 20 South Main Street, Plains Wednesday at 8:45 with Requiem mass in the parish church and interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call Monday 7 to 10 and Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 10.
